$10 sábanas
The sequence appears to have been as follows. Firstly, 'NUM.' printed on the plate and two large numbers. These have 'General' printed in full rather than the abbreviation 'Gral.' that appears on later notes.
Series letter | Imprint | Abbreviation | Size of numbers (left, right) | Type of seal on reverse |
---|---|---|---|---|
A | IMP. DEL GOBIERNO, CHIH. | NUM. | large, large | large black |
Then, 'No.' was added to the numbering machine.

---|---|---|---|---|
A | IMP. DEL GOBIERNO, CHIH. | No. NUM. | large, large | black |
Then, the 'NUM.' was removed, and 'No. No.' added to the numbering machine(s). The 'No. No.' is known in italics. A second series, 'B', was produced.

B | No. No. |
Some of these Serie B 'No. No.' notes have an 'x' in the upper lefthand corner. Although this was reported, for example in a notice issued in Querétaro in December 1914, as an indication of a counterfeit note, these are so numerous and known with a variety of resellos so that they are more likely genuine.
