Escuintla

Escuintla is a town 75 kilometres north-west of Tapachula on the main road along the coast.

The catalogues mention a two reales note^{[image needed]} from the Municipilidad de Escuintla, which because of the real system used must date from the later decades of the 18th century. However, more information is required, particularly as the reference might be to the Escuintla in Guatemala.
