Incinerations of Estado de Durango notes
Several times quantities of notes were incinerated in formal proceedings at the former Secretaría del Tribunal de Justicia in front of dignitaries from the Dirección General de Rentas and other witnesses. The following incinerations were recorded in the Períodico Oficial. On other dates $5 and $50 Arrieta notes were destroyed, as detailed here.

Durango notes were also incinerated in Mexico City. On 8 November 1914 it was reported that half a million pesos in bonos and vales of the Constitutionalists issued in Durango had been burned in the office of the Tesorería de la NaciónThe Mexican Herald, 8 November 1914 and of $784,000 burned on 11 November $550,000 “represented vales issued by the Constitutionalist authorities during the campaign in Durango”The Mexican Herald, 13 November 1914.
