Taxco
On 3 December 1915 the President Municipal of Taxco, Fausto Venegas, wrote to Emiliano Zapata of the great difficulties suffered in his town. The local Oficina de Cambio had only $50 and $100 Revalidados, and so retail business had been paralysed. He asked Zapata to order the office to issue change in $1, $5 and $10 notesAGN, Fondo Emiliano Zapata, caja 16 exp 5. So it is not surprising that local merchants resorted to their own issues.
Convención Comercial
The "Convención Comercial" of Rafael T. Dominguez issued these notes, some dated to September and November 1915.
Incredibly, the 50c was counterfeited.
