Counterfeits
On 15 March 1910 the Board held an extraordinary meeting to discuss the appearance of two counterfeit notes (a $20 and a $100 note) which had been redeemed in Mexico City. Rodolfo García went to Mexico City where he found them to be crude hand-made imitations. No further investigation was made but a circular was sent to all the state banks explaining the triviality of the incident and thus preventing the spread of inflated rumours.
