Bernardino Macías was born in the nearby mining camp of El Pinabete. At the time of this note (December 1914) Macías was claiming to be a supporter of Villismo. During the Revolution some who pretended to be in favour of the revolutionary cause were (or transformed into) simple bandits or rustlers who devastated the towns and cities. Such was Bernardino Macías who attacked the town of Ixtlán del Río in different seasons. looting and burning it. This generated a violent response from General Carrasco. |
