Most of the first print run (with the exception of 2,200 $20 notes) were put into circulation in the first six months, but the notes were accepted with hesitation by the general publicInforme of  Interventor Eleuterio Tejeda, 20 January 1904 in Memoria de las Instituciones del Crédito, 1903.

Withdrawals and Incinerations

In the early years a few notes were withdrawn and destroyed. On 31 May 1906 the Interventor, Gerente, Alfonso M. Veraza (Consejero) and J. M. Rubio (Cajero) witnessed the destruction of 25 notes worth $430$5 notes numbered 578, 708, 1335, 2628, 2722, 3920, 4670, 6381, 6548, 6824, 7560, 10858 and 79738, $10 notes numbered 5090, 5527, 8822 and 14341, $20 5054, and $50 notes numbered 1642, 1652, 1654, 1659, 1696 and 1804 (Informe of interventor in Memoria de las Instituciones del Crédito, 1906). On 31 July 1907 another $1,335 was destroyed$5 notes numbered 1075, 2661, 3793, 4784, 7791, 8558, 9479 and 55142, $10 3066 and 5749, $20 370 and 1291, $50 1003 and $1,000 39 and from Irapuato $5 notes numbered 11454, 18184, 21249, 21497, 21536, 21916, 23125, 24854, 24966, 25643, 25751, 25829, 26849, 27570, 27878, 28169, 29849, 29228 and 29897, $10 14221, 16682, 16921, 17546 and 1827, $20 6149 and 6514 (Informe of interventor in Memoria de las Instituciones del Crédito, 1907). On 31 July 1909 186 notes with a total value of $2,800 were incineratedFro the main branch 76 $5, 18 $10, 12 $20, 6 $50 and 7 $100 notes and from Irapuato 42 $5, 15 $10, 2 $20, 4 $50 and 4 $100 notes (Informe of interventor in Memoria de las Instituciones del Crédito, 1907).
